This website is supposed to be a manageable, thematically structured, and critically
commented botanical link collection. It is our objective to present the most important
starting sites and a couple of selected pages for each topic. For obvious reasons,
Swiss sites are a bit overrepresented - we ask you to be lenient. If you have
remarks and suggestions, please send them to webmaster@botany.ch.

The site's content management is done with XML
and Java. The actual data
is stored in XML files, and the static HTML files are generated by parsing and
transforming the XML by means of a Java program using the open source
API JDOM
and the open source XML parser Xerces. |
